We just purchased this Maytag portable dishwasher after having a Kenmore for 10 years. I made the mistake of purchasing it online at HOme Depot without seeing it first. The interior is smaller than the Kenmore, holding fewer items. It also is much louder than the Kenmore. And it doesn't heat dry unless you use a particular rinse aid. Today we had a Maytag tech person check it out because the interior is always wet in the morning after we wash the dishes the previous evening, including the silverware in the silverware tray. This dishwasher HAS TO HAVE a rinse aid (something we never needed to use with the Kenmore) in order to dry dishes properly. I had purchased one kind at my local grocery, but apparently it isn't doing the job. The tech guy said the only solution he'd found for drying his dishes completely was a product call Jetdry. It's infuriating to think that we have to fill up the rinse aid container with this particular product at least once a week before we can get dry dishes. We would like to return this machine, but I don't think it's possible. I warn others from buying one.
